Bro. Bruce Johnson is a native of Miami, Florida. He began his Christian journey in the summer of 1967, while living and worshiping at the Central Church of Christ located in Minneapolis, MN. He received his Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University, a Master's of Science from Texas A&M University- Commerce, and earned certification in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University.
Bro. Johnson has been preaching for over 30 years. Before becoming the minister at the Moreland Ave congregation, he served as the Pulpit Minister of Dellcrest (San Antonio, TX) and the Eastside Church of Christ (Van Alstyne, TX). His greatest achievement outside of being a child of God is being married to his loving wife Sylvia, the father of two adult children and the grandfather of three. Sylvia is a wonderful and supportive wife, a dynamic motivational speaker to women, and a retired City of Atlanta police officer.
